Air Canada Airlines Flight Change Fee

The new Air Canada flight change policy allows you to make changes to your ticket reservation without paying any fees:

• Regardless of your fare type, if you change your mind within 24 hours of making your reservation.
• If you have a ticket (other than Basic) that was purchased on or before July 5, 2022 and you plan to depart by that date.
• If you booked your ticket (other than a Basic) on or after July 6, 2022, and afterwards travelled by turning it into an Aeroplan point or an Air Canada travel voucher (with a 65% bonus).

If the following fares are altered:

• Convenience Fares (60-plus days before departure).
• the Latitude Fares (2-plus hours before departure).
• Flexible Premium Economy Fares (2-plus hours before departure).
• Flexible Business Class Fares (2-plus hours before departure).

Award Airfare two hours or more before to departure (only Altitude Super Elite 100k members).

Fees for Air Canada Changes

Your travel class and the time you make the change will determine the Air Canada change costs.

Depending on your travel type and how early or late you alter your flight, all other fares are subject to a change fee.

• For Standard Economy flights, the change charge is USD/CAD 100 if made less than 60 days before to departure and USD/CAD 25 if made more than 60 days prior to departure.
• For Flex tickets, the change charge is USD/CAD if made less than 60 days prior to departure and USD/CAD 25 if made more than 60 days prior to departure.

If a Comfort fare is changed within 60 days of departure, there is a USD/CAD 25 change charge.

In all circumstances, if your new aeroplane ticket is more expensive, you must pay the fee difference.
